Pepa Bandera Segunda is a gaff-rigged schooner outfitted like a 19th century working sailboat and designed for effortless oceanic research expeditions. She stands out for her style, with finely crafted solid wood and marine bronze interiors giving her a singular charm.
Two full-size double cabins furnished with desk and wardrobe. One large cabin with four single berths and a double cabin in the bow. Two shower bathroom with hot water. Guests have indipendent access from a foredeck companionway. Charming indoor lounge and wheelhouse console. Outdoor table shaded by a large awning and aft sunbathing area. Independent kitchen. Crew quarters and bathroom and engine room are detached in order to guarantee guest privacy. Very large galley.
Karina Von Forell was designed in 1977 by Doug Peterson as a crewed racing sailboat. Karina was made in aluminum and offers excellent maneuverability thanks to her efficient equipment. Guests can join the sailing experience and learn how to helm an authentic sailboat in complete safety. Karina was built by S.A.I. Ambrosini, an Italian aeronautical company that also built "Il Moro di Venezia" and "Yena" (one of the boats that survived the 1979 Fastnet). Karina dominated international regattas winning the championship title for three consecutive seasons.
The interior spaces are made of a large four-berth cabin, a bathroom, and a separate cabin for the captain. Shower is on the foredeck. The kitchen area doesn't have a fixed table, but two small foldable tables for temporarily placing supplies instead. Each crew member will have his own stainless steel cup/glass and plate/bowl with an engraved number in order to reduce plastic waste and pollution onboard Karina. A valve in the kitchen area allows you to select either seawater or freshwater for use.
